Ce vélo cassé, c'était le mien, et quel drame cela a été!  Au sortir de l'enfance, juste avant la découverte du flirt & des filles, le vélo (cross), pour un petit gars de la campagne, c'est ce qu'il y avait de plus important au monde, l'instrument de la liberté.

This broken bike was mine, and what a tragedy it was! At the end of childhood, just before the discovery of flirting and girls, the bicycle (cross), for a little guy from the countryside, this is what was most important in the world, the instrument of freedom.
